EPRHA's Fire Cracker Classi

August 2-4 2019

July of 2019 will go down as one of the hottest months ever!  On Wednesday, August 1st, the Crystal Farm team headed down to the Fire Cracker Classic .  This year's Crystal Farm competitors have also been red hot!  With all kinds of awards to their credit, the team looks to continue its run of great rides at the this year's Fire Cracker Classic!

Wednesday:

Wednesday was a long day. 10 horses on the road and a long drive to New Jersey. EPRHA here we come. Nate another horse was already there when we arrived.  Riding till after midnight made for a long day. 

 

Thursday
Thursday started off with the open. 
* Ty and Sterling had a great ride coming in reserve champion in the intermediate open and 3rd in the limited open. 
* Green rider was next with Pam and Sterling coming in 8th in level 1. 
* Mark and Nate were 7th in level 1 & 6th in level 2. Green horse ran concurrently. 
* Ty and Jammn were reserve champions and
* Chris and Bunny (his new ride) were 7th.
* Last class of the day was novice; Brake and I were 4th in novice 2& CC and I were 3rd in level 1. 

With the temperatures in the high 80’s& humidity even higher every one was in great spirits& all the horses went well.

 

Friday:

Day 2. Friday at EPRHA another hot stuffy busy day.   Started with green.

* Pam and Sterling were 5 th in both level 1 and 2.
* Chris schooled with Bunny.
* Ty and Jammn were 2nd in green horse. 
* Mark and Nate were 3rd in prime time rookie. Also 3rd in level 1. 
* Pam and Sterling were 5th in prime time. 
* Lindsey and Bart were 4th in youth.

* Janice rode in the ranch horse with Lena placing 3rd in non pro and winning their first paycheck.
Last was non pro. 
*Brake and I were first in masters and Dually and I were 2nd.  Brake and I were 3rd in prime time followed by Dually we placed 4th. 
It was a great day with great rides.

Saturday:


Saturday was another busy hot humid day.
*  Started with green in which Pam schooled Sterling. 
*  Next was green horse.   Ty and Jammn were 5th.   Chris and his new ride Bunny were 7th.

*  Youth followed with Lindsey and Bart coming in 4th by 1/2 a point.

*  Ranch was next with Janice and Lena showing them how it’s done and winning the class. 

The Derby was the last class of the day. Ty and Dino had an incredible run. One little error put them from first to 6th place. With him only being here a week it was an awesome ride.

Sunday:

Sunday the last day of the EPRHA show.

 
* Lindsey and Bart started the class with 2 plus 1/2’s on both there first stops. Then Lindsey decided to school.
   Yikes !! I don’t think she knew how awesome they looked. But she had a great weekend. Very consistent. 
*  Ty and Sterling were draw 2 in the novice coming in reserve champion. Another great ride. 
*  Brake and I drew 4th. Not our best ride but I plussed. both my spins and came in reserve champion in novice 2. 
*  CC and I were draw 12 winning both novice 1 and novice 2. 
*  Last of our team Dually and I showed in the non pro. Winning all our divisions. Non pro, prime time, and the masters. 

A big thank you to Jim, Ty and Lindsey, without them I never would have had Dually ready for his class.
That is definitely what you call team effort. 

Can’t wait till our next show.
