Matt Mills Clinic: August 12, 2017
Matt Mills
Reining Clinic
(Aug. 12th & 13th)
A special thank-you to Matt for providing all of the riders and spectators an amazing clinic! These two days were filled with new training techniques, exercises and tips. Matt's individualized clinic helped improve both the horses that he worked with, as well as the skill level of those who rode them. He stressed "keeping it simple!". Thanks again Matt for 2 days that we will never forget!
This event could not have taken place without the help of many people. A thank-you goes out to our trainer Jake Masterson whose connection with Matt helped make this possible.
The farm has been getting ready for this weekend for quite a while! The work of John, Bruce, Jen & Justin in readying the farm for Matt's visit. A thank-you also goes out to Elizabeth, Lindsey and Linda for volunteering their time. Everyone's help was was appreciated!
Thanks
Jim & Frani Simmons
This all day clinic was enjoyed by 11 riders and many, spectators. Born in Southen, CA, Matt took to horses at an early age. In 1996, he turned his focus to "reining" and created his own training facility in Scottsdale, AZ. One of the top 20 NRHA competitors Matt also was part of the US Olympic gold medal winning team at the World Equestrian Games. Frani and Jim Simmons were thrilled that he agreed to conduct a reining clinic on the 12th & 13th of August.
